Meshuganotes A Cappella
Gabby is a graduating senior with a Psychology major, and a minor in Criminology and Criminal Justice studies. Gabby is also the Meshuganotes team captain for BuckeyeThon this year and can’t wait to participate in such an amazing event for another year. Gabby is also in Omega Gamma fraternity. She loves tacos, dogs, Netflix, and playing her ukulele! Fun Fact: Gabby’s spirit animal is a sloth.

Josh is a 4th year Biochemistry major with a minor in Video Arts! Josh absolutely love llamas! He's excited to hang out with some of his best friends this year in Shugs! Outside of Shugs, Josh is involved in RHAC (Residence Halls Advisory Council), Research, and other Jewish things. Josh loves to play music, obsess over movies, and hang out with friends!

Jacob is a 4th year Sociology major with minors in Spanish and City & Regional Planning. Jacob just got back from studying abroad in Seville, Spain! Jacob loves Shug Shabbat and can't wait for the next one! Outside of Shugs, Jacob is involved in Pi Sigma Epsilon Fraternity, GIVE, Research Assistant with the Department of Sociology, and an Information Desk Specialist at the Ohio Union!

Greg is a 3nd year Computer Science and Engineering major! He is one of our awesome tenors! Greg loves Meshuganotes, but is also involved in some other things outside of shugs including being and Outreach Director for Code 4 Community! When Greg was younger, his brother convinced him that he was a dragon. Greg loves hiking, singing, snacking and coding!

Sydney is a third year student majoring in Early Childhood Education & Visual Impairment and it is her third year in the group. Outside of Shugs, Sydney is involved in her sorority, Delta Zeta and is the historian for her Honor Society, Phi Upsilon Omicron. She also loves to travel, hike, and spend time with her friends and family. A fun fact about Sydney is that she has donated her hair to charity four times!

Alexander Frisch is a fourth year at The Ohio State University and will be graduating in December! He is majoring in Public Affairs with a specialization in Nonprofit Management and minoring in Theatre. Alexander is a Mount Leadership Society Scholar , a member of Zeta Beta Tau fraternity and currently works at Short North Stage in the Short North! He just got back from studying abroad in Sydney, Australia at the University of Sydney, where he also worked at Channel 7. Derek is a second year majoring in Mathematics! It is his second year in the Meshuganotes and we are so excited to have him! He is our WONDERFUL beat boxer. He has been on three varsity teams. He likes to work out, play basketball and video games in his free time! He can't wait to have so much fun with the Shugs this year!

Hoa is a second year Graduate School Student studying Finance! Hoa loves to eat plants and fruits that he finds in the wild. He can also do Martial Arts (TangSooDo and Taekwondo)!

Jack is a second year Electrical and Computer Engineering major! This is his second year in Shugs and we’re so happy to have him. Jack likes to play different instruments, sing, and is involved in the Pistol club. Fun fact: Jack has been to 29 countries!!

Joe is so excited to be a member of the MeshugaNotes. A fourth year from Aberdeen, New Jersey, Joe studies Political Science and Sport Industry. When he's not practicing with the Shugs, Joe likes to cook Thai food, listen to folksy acoustic music, and plan out his fantasy football strategies for the week.

Jordyn is a third year studying Natural Resource Management with a minor in Creative Writing. Outside of Meshuganotes, she is an arts scholar and chair of Arts Leadership Council. She loves animals, nature, and exploring new places!

Julia is a third year Public Affairs major with English and Spanish minors. She loves to sing (obviously), read, write, watch movies, and go to concerts. She is involved in OSU Pen Pals and Mosaic Magazine outside of Shugs. A fun fact about her is that she has been singing in choirs since she was 8 years old.

Lauren is a first year undergraduate student here at The Ohio State University. She is currently in the midst of exploring all the majors this university has to offer, so she haven’t narrowed it down yet to just one! Aside from the legendary Meshuganotes, Lauren is a part of the Advocates for Communities and Education Scholars program, and is the Wellness and Community Co-Chair for the Board of Activities for Smith-Steeb. Her favorite place to spend her [scarce] down-time is anywhere her friends are, whether that be hanging out on our floor or a late-night adventure to Cane’s. Something that people find very endearing about Lauren is that she is, indeed, left-handed! In the spirit of giving the gift of happiness to those we love, Lauren wants to remind you to be the reason someone smiles today.

Marco is a first year Music Performance major. This is his first year in Shugs! He loves drawing, playing pokemon go, and playing his clarinet. We are so excited to have him and can't wait to start performing!

Meili is a third year psychology major who absolutely loves being a part of Meshuganotes! She is also an RA in Nosker Hall and participates in research for a language and perception lab within the psychology department. Meili loves reading, hanging out with friends, and petting animals she knows will give her hives. A fun fact about her is that she loves riding segways.

Sam is a second year at OSU studying Public Policy Analysis with majors in economics and Human Rights. In addition to being one of the Shugs, Sam works as an Office Assistant on campus, is the Policy Chair for Students for Educational Equity and is also a member of the Art Scholars program. Sam is very passionate about politics, art and the way the two intertwine.

Sam is a sophomore and is so excited to be in Shugs this year! She is majoring in Choral Music Education. Outside of Shugs, Sam is involved in Women’s Glee Club and SAI. A fun fact about her is that she is a fourth generation Buckeye!

Shayna is a freshman from Cincinnati, Ohio. She is studying Psychology with a minor in Spanish. As well as MeshugaNotes, Shayna is a member of OSU’s Undergraduate Student Government and Hillel’s Jewish Leadership Fellowship program. She loves to speak Spanish, go on runs, wear mismatched socks, talk about life with her friends, play with her golden doodle and be a Buckeye!
